Do Now (10 mins):


First, copy your homework in your Agenda:
1. Read the article and activity for "Math + Museum=Fun" on TeenBiz3000.
2. Peter and the Starcatcher permission slip due Monday, 12/2 by 4 p.m.
3. Check out the components of the iPad on quizlet at

Write the question and answer on p. 48L of your Interactive Notebook.  Explain how you figured out which homophone to include in your answer.  Fill in each sentence with sent/cent/scent.

  2. Log in using your blastla.org account info
  3. Open your "Cell Phones Persuasive Essay"
  4. Read your essay to your buddy
  5. Next, ask them, "Do you think my argument is convincing?  Why or why not?"
  6. Last, ask them, "If you were arguing against me, what would you say?"
  7. Summarize what they say by writing it in your notebook on p. 48L or type it under paragraph 3 on your essay.
  8. Ask them what they're learning in their English class
  9. Ask them what they are most thankful for, and tell them what you are most thankful for

  5. Click Format, Line Spacing, and Double
  6. Use Times New Roman 12 size font
  7. Type Name, Date, and Period at the top
  8. Begin typing each paragraph, remembering to type Tab for indent
  9. Follow this link to teenbiz3000.com
  10. Type your username and password
  11. Start the 5 step lesson for "Reaching High...Again"
  12. Read & Listen to the Vocabulary
  13. As you read each paragraph, STOP and fill in at least 1 sentence in the SUMMARIZE box.  This can be copy and pasted into your Thought Question, and will be graded.
  14. When you do the ACTIVITY, refer back to the article for answers by opening it in a side-by-side screen.
  15. On the Thought Question, remember to click on "Include in Your Answer" so you can get a 3 or 4 score.
  16. If you finish early, do the Stretch Article and Activities!
