Digital Agenda: Monday 8/12 & Tuesday 8/13!

Do Now (10 mins):
Answer these questions in complete sentences on page 3L of your Interactive Notebook.


  1. What is the difference between fiction and non-fiction?
  2. What is the difference between biography and autobiography?

On the left side of your desk, make a pile of Agenda, Scavenger Hunt, and any other assignment you have to turn in today.  I will check these while you are writing.


Objectives:  Students will...


identify the forms and characteristics of types of text and first- or third-person narration by reading historical fiction, narratives, and poetry and creating a group presentation using a graphic organizer.

Collaborative Station (45 mins):

Students will work collaboratively in cooperative groups to identify and clarify their understanding of types of texts when presented with each form.
